Zzina Awards Launched, Here Are The Nominees.

The Zzina awards launch happened on Friday at Club Amnesia with two main aspects. Unveiling of the awards and the nomination list which has 17 categories.
Radio and Weasel scooped the most nominations (eight) followed by Bobi Wine (six), a Pass and Irene Ntale (five), Sheeba and Juliana (four) and Gravity Omutujju (three) among others.
In some of the tight categories, Ziza Bafana will have to overcome A Pass, Bobi Wine, David Lutalo, Eddy Kenzo, King Saha and Radio and Weasel for the Male artiste of the year award while Sheeba will face off close rivals Irene Ntale, Juliana Kanyomozi, Cindy, Fille, and Rema Namakula for female artiste of the year.

Barely two months on the airwaves, Dax Kartel’s ‘Baala’ scooped a slot on the song of the year category and it will be contending with songs like ‘Bakuwekyonywa’, ‘Bikola’, ‘Gundeeze’, Juicy, Kigwaleero, Linda and Memories.
The winner of the fans group will be given a bull at the carnival that will take place May 14 th this year while other winners will get airplay on Galaxy Fm.
Some of the notable faces on the entertainment scene who graced the launch include Maro, Nutty Neithan, Nash Wonder, Minayo, Emma Carlos and others.
The awards will be taking place at Theatre Labonita on March 4 th and to vote, you need to either visit Galaxy website or dial *289*4#.
